Conscious Consumers
Conscious Consumers are a group of students who are deeply concerned with the current social and environmental issues affecting our world today. In response we want to do everything we can to address these problems in a creative way, through education, action and the spread of information. We have done this through campaigning on issues such as recycling and a move to boycott Coca-Cola products on campus. We have also made links with other campaigning societies on campus, as well as producing "The Conscious Times" a newsletter which covers various ethical issues. This society is made up of a variety of people from different backgrounds with different views, opinions and skills to offer to the group. Absolutely anyone is welcome to come along with any ideas they have and contribute in any way they want to, whether you want to join the group or simply get involved with a specific campaign or write an article for the newsletter. The only prerequisite is that you care!
Meetings are every Wednesday at 4 o'clock in Rutherford Bar.
