Friends of the Animals
Friends Of The Animals establishes an official presence at the UniversityofKent for persons who share concerns about the wellbeing of animals. The Society provides a focal point to share and develop ideas with other animal friendly persons at the college. Every one from the college is welcome to join. We stand for peaceful means and progressive improvements in animal protection. The progress of the society is directed by its members. This means that if you have particular animal friendly projects to be pursued the resources are at your disposal to do so. Anyone wanting to raise particular ethical issues relating to animals is welcome to bring them up at meetings: this will let us know how to proceed! Our aims this year include a trip to a wildlife conservation park, promoting the national animal advocacy organisations and campaigns, and voluntary outings for "hands on" animal advocates to animal wildlife, welfare and rescue centres. If this sounds interesting why not come along to a meeting and see if FOTA is for you.
