Temple Law Society
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE KLTS?
The Kent Law Temple Society has established itself as the oldest and most prestigious Law Society within the Kent Law School. It is directly being sponsored by Inner and Middle Temple which is a sign of its calibre that proudly places it in a league of its own; among the Oxbridge Inner and Middle Temple Societies. It is primarily designed to assist students interested in pursuing a career at the Bar, yet it is addressed to all those law and non law students at the UKC and Medway campuses, who are wishing to learn more about what a career at the Bar entails and what somebody would need to do in order to get there. In other words, membership for KLTS is open to all persons intending to become barristers or even those who are still undecided and wish to explore and expand their horizons over the much promising Bar affiliated professional careers.

As it has been previously described by a law student:
'The Kent Law Temple Society is a Power packed, informative, advisory, networking, elite student society designed to assist law students and all those interested in the Bar with their academic journey here at UKC!' - 3rd year Law Student
Our membership fee is only £6 per academic year which would entitle you to a priority booking on many of our annual trips; including trips to the 3 main London based Bar Vocational Providers (Bar Schools), The House of Lords, The Royal Courts of Justice, the National Pupillage Fair and many others. Beside the various trips, you would be entitled to attend various Bar talks and guest lectures, skills based workshops (CV/Interview, Advocacy/Public Speaking, BVC/Pupillage Applications, Commercial Awareness, Networking etc), and other events organised throughout the academic year, along with the right to vote and run for a committee position at next year's society elections.
KTS HIGHLIGHT
And the Finale for the Year?
And the Finale for the Year?
The modestly applauded and award winning Annual Dinner....Any member or guest who has attended any of the past Annual Dinners can without a doubt confirm that this is the event of the year of all societies. The Annual Dinner is a vital means of achieving the society's cardinal aim, which is to provide links between the student body and legal professionals. Students get to mix and mingle with profound Barristers, Judges, Lords and other Professionals that are apart of the elite legal high society. This is a time when students get to doll up in their elegant formal attire and get a taste of what real high society is all about!
