The jobshop@kent service is run by Kent Union to help students find part-time or temporary work whilst they study and enhance their employability skills ahead of graduating; it also addresses the recruitment needs of local business. The service includes students studying at the University of Kent's Canterbury and Medway campuses and higher education students at associated colleges throughout the county.

In the 20011/12 academic year, approximately 3,000 vacancies were advertised to our database of registered students; these included IT positions, marketing and administrative assistants, translators, web developers, project managers, market researchers, bar and waiting staff, personal tutors, models, child carers and retail assistants.

Once registered, students can access vacancy details on-line and also receive email alerts when new positions become available.

In addition to advertising vacancies for local employers, jobshop@kent also places students in temporary roles through its agency-style service. Further information for employers is available here.
