How does this service work?

This service is provided by the University to assist students getting home after studying in the Library. It allows people to get home, if they live off campus. If you live on campus but feel vulnerable or would appreciate being walked home, Campus Watch provides a walking service to escort you back to your room. You can contact them by ringing ex 3300.
The bus service operates from Library Road and takes you as close as it can to your home within the Canterbury City area. This is a free bus service and the number of buses has increased this year.

Be aware that there are only 16 seats on each bus and you must pre book your place at the Library Welcome Desk.

How do I book my place on the bus?

On the night that you require to use the bus, from 22:00hrs (10pm), you can book your place on one of the buses at the Library Welcome Desk. Here you will need to complete the registration sheet in accordance with which bus you will be using.

The people at the welcome desk will give you a bus ticket, which will be colour coded according to which service you have signed to use. If you decide that you do not need to use this service and leave earlier than planned, please ensure you hand back your ticket to the welcome desk so someone else can use it.
