The first student-lead FM Community Radio station in the country
CSR 97.4FM is a radio station run by student volunteers from University of Kent and Christchurch University. It is an opportunity to gain hands on experience working in any field, from being a DJ, reading the news or help promoting the radio station in the community.
The radio station was launched on 15th January 2007 and was granted a 5 year community radio licence by ofcom, this means that it must cater to the youth community ranging from 16-24 year olds. It must also provide educational features to the schedule and have at least 50% speech based programming.
