Societies recieve funding in two main ways, the money you recieve directly from your members, and the grant given to you from Kent Union.

Development Fund:
This is a pot of Money that is to help you develop your society. You can ONLY apply to the Development Fund, if what you are intending to use it for is purely the development of your society. You cannot apply to the Development Fund if you have funds in your account that will cover this.
To apply for the Development Fund, you must fill in the application form below and email it to H.Hathaway@kent.ac.uk . Once Societies Federation Committee have met you will be notified if your application was successful.

Start Up Fund:
This is a maximum of £50 which Societies Federation Committee will allocate to new societies who haven't yet made their 20 members. You cannot apply to this fund, if you have existed for more than a year, or if you have had a stall at Societies Fayre.

Cash Office
To access your Budget, either the President or Treasuer must go to the Mandela Building and fill in a Cash Request Form. This must be authorised by Kirsty Sutton, Student Activities Manager. You can take out a maximum of £100 per day. All change and receipts MUST be returned within 7 DAYS or your account will be frozen.
If you spend your own money on the Society without seeking Authorisation from either Kirsty or Caz, then Kent Union will not reimburse you.
