Welcome to Cultural Vibes!

Cultural Vibes is about doing something different, new places, new music and new people.  We’re all going on journeys both culturally and musically, not just here on campus but other cities both in the UK and Europe.  The cities are the culture and the music is the vibe and combined they will broaden horizons and enrich us all!  UKC has a range of fantastic opportunities to experience different music styles but until now house music was underrepresented and we are here to change that.  We aim to bring the best in dance music here to UKC making it accessible to all! A dance night is so much more than just a DJ or act; it’s about decor, colours, percussion and creating an atmosphere of unity as one. Up and down the country dance nights rock the night away with some of the best nights on the planet and we’d like our society members to be a part of that.

We have already had a hugely successful trip to Amsterdam and have other trips lined up, but to be part of it you need to join!  We will be having regular events on campus for everyone but of course society members will get it for free!  Membership is a mere £5 and for that you will get reduced ticket prices for all events and trips.  As a thank you to all those that join this semester you will also receive enhanced benefits in the 08 / 09 academic year.  But we need people power so Cultural Vibes needs to grow and so if you haven’t already please invite all your friends to join as we become 1.
