Islamic Society
The Islamic Society is involved in representing and providing any support wherever possible to Muslim students on campus. We are involved in arranging outings to events like the Global Peace and Unity, and Lectures from scholars such as Dawud Bone and more familiar faces such as Yvonne Riddley.
During Ramadan a great opportunity arises for getting to know more brothers and sisters and as we know it's a time when we are brought together for prayer and food, it has been customary for the society to arrange food most days of this month either home cooked or delivered form local restaurants or volunteers.
We have set up Arabic classes for muslims as well as non muslims and hope to arrange a halaka or gathering at least once a week for brothers and sisters.
The society is open to new ideas and suggestions on improvement by any of our members so please join and feel free to contribute in any way that you can.
