KSCND
Kent Student Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (KSCND) is part of a national campaign advocating and campaigning for the unilateral disarmament of nuclear weapons. Student CND is part of the wider UK peace movement advocating non- violent resolutions to conflict, and campaigning against nuclear weapons and nuclear power. Members of the group also participate in leafleting, regular stalls and petitions, lobbying of MP's and Parliament, as well as attending many anti- nuclear and anti- war demonstrations and protests throughout the country. Our main focus of current campaigning is against the replacement of the Trident nuclear weapons system, along with campaigns against the militarisation of space and against new nuclear power stations.
Meetings will take place every Wednesday evening in Keynes Seminar Room 13 or in Keynes Lecture Theatre Six. We also have regular meetings involving public speakers, and the days and times of these meetings vary.
