Kent Student Socialists have no ties to any party, we are a band of independent left wing students - comprised of Communists, Greens, Anarchists and Socialists and those generally interested in left-wing politics.

We hold weekly meetings with debates, film screenings, guest lecturers, and sometimes even socials!

We stand, in solidarity:

* To raise consciousness about left wing politics and in particular Socialism.

* Against all forms of discrimination, on our campus and in wider society.

* For a free, publicly funded education system. Without privatisation and closures of facilities.

* To stand side by side with workers and other students who face injustice in society.

* Against the capitalist system, to discuss and debate alternatives.

* For a representative and inclusive Students Union, that respects its members and actively fights for them.

* To raise environmental awareness on campus, to ensure that our University is committed to being green.

* With other workers and students around the world. We are internationalists.
