Kink Soc
KinkSoc is a friendly, confidential, non-judgemental and very diverse society of open-minded students, aiming to provide a welcoming and safe place for people to discuss, express and celebrate their alternative lifestyles and practises that may be considered taboo outside of the society. We welcome anyone, from any walk of life, whatever your gender, sexual orientation, age or personal kinks provided you are willing to adhere to the SSC (Safe, Sane, Consensual) code of practise. We meet on a weekly basis through the academic year, running workshops, trips to London fetish fairs and events, movie nights and the old favourite - informal chats and meet-ups at our local bar.
We aim to provide information, aid and friendship to anyone who is interested in the alternative lifestyle, whether you're new to it and just want to know about playing safe and meeting like minded people or whether it's a much greater part of your existence. Either way, whether you're a little bit kinky or completely off the wall, were happy to accommodate you and look forward to meeting you.
We do operate certain policies to protect the privacy of our members, so no names will be mentioned outside of the society without prior consent and we will not do anything to make our members known to their fellow students, to university staff, or to the wider world.
To protect these policies, we try not to publicly advertise our whereabouts - if you are interested in joining up or coming along, either find us at the Fresher's
Fair or contact our president, Clare, via email. Contact details can be sourced through the Union.
