Stage Spiders
Stage Spiders is the Children's theatre society on campus.... We have high relationships with local youth groups and schools and put on pantomimes and do workshops with children of a variety of ages. We are hoping to expand this to a senior school age as well.
Last Year, "James and the Giant Peach" was a great success in Eliot Dining Hall and we hope to have even more success with our next big production.
The importance of children all over the world is key and therefore our support goes out to various charities and already we have ideas for a children in need event helping to raise money for children who need us.
Our voluntary society is probably one of the most rewarding and allows a diverse set of thing s to be challenged by and achieve. Additionally this achievement is acknowledged by the union and can be put on your CV and you can attain voluntary awards.
Even if you would just want to be involved in one aspect...it is a mix of fun and laughter, drama and games and children. All of whichj require different types of people to make the society work.
The best you can do is give it a try!!! J
