First Aid Society
The First Aid Society meets on Thursday’s in KLT4 at 7pm. We offer the opportunity for all our members to learn First Aid in a fun and friendly environment. The course is Red Cross run, and is a basic First Aid qualification.
Once you have achieved this, or if you are already qualified, there is the option to do duties on and off campus, and also further First Aid training. All of the training and any duties you do counts as volunteering, and can be used towards the KSCV Certificate.
We are not just a serious society: we plan to run a variety of socials throughout the year. We also have a night at The Venue in the first term (Saturday 17th October), which has a 999 theme, where we will be fundraising.
Last year we had a Red Cross ambulance on campus, and we staged a Road Traffic Accident for our members to attend as First Aiders, which was very successful.
