Visual Culture Society
The Visual Culture Society is a new society that looks at a lot of interesting things. Visual Culture describes the field of study of things such as television, gaming, comics and other mediums all linked by a visual component. We aim to look at and explore these as a society; with individual members fully encouraged to delve into their particular interests in relation to visual culture. Thus we hope to be a fairly broad sociatey, able to appeal to a wide number of students and have a good range of events and opportunities open to us. While some societies on campus are dedicated to exploring very particular aspects of visual culture (Film, Japanese Animation, etc) we would like to enjoy visual culture as a whole while pluging the gaps, so to speak, left by other societies while workig with them to promote shared interests. We're here to have fun too of course and that us one of our primary aims. We want to run as many events as we can and make them as enjoyable as possible. We're also involved in manga so if you read any you might be interested too. We hope you enjoy our events and want to get involved!
