Kendo
The University of Kent Kendo Club is a well established club here at Kent, and offers you a great opportunity to experience the "way of the sword".
The main sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 20:00 to 22:00, followed by drinks and socialising at Mungo's.The club has been around for a while now, and has won a number of competitions since then. We did particularly well in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 University Championships, taking the Gold medal in the kyu-grades category all three years. We also participate in the Mumeishi 3's Taikai and the Lidstone Taikai.
While we welcome beginners at any time of the academic year, we encourage you to join early, as there is a lot to learn, and little time to learn it in.For more information on the club please contact the President, Spencer Taber,or visit the external website.
