Netball
The Netball Club is one of the largest female sports clubs on campus offering numerous opportunities to play netball at a variety of levels.
The club is constantly growing and looking to welcome girls to the club. We are a very friendly and sociable club putting on regular socials each week and there is also the opportunity to go on a week netball tour over Easter each year all organized by our social sec Cat Barratt.
Our coach Chris deals with our top 3 BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) teams and our SESSA (4th) team who play once a week and train for 2 hours on a Tuesday evening. We have a Sunday League development squad run by two of our committee, Natalie and Anya which takes place every Thursday night.
Giving the opportunity for development into higher teams and the experience of playing in the local league. This squad mainly focuses on new members to the club guaranteeing the chance to play each week or every other week. Perfect for girls wanting to be part of the club and meet new friends whilst playing the odd bit of netball each week. For more details please contact Natalie or Anya
Finally the club offers a Social netball session every week run by our committee member Emily. This hour is a chance to play netball purely for fun; we don't expect any experience or ability, just show up and have fun. It's a bit of fitness and a bit of a laugh, and we hope to organize tournaments within the club playing for your university college, all for fun.
Once you are a member of the club you can attend any of the training sessions the club holds, meaning you can play and get involved as much or as little as you want. For any information on trails in the first week, joining during the year or any other questions don't hesitate to contact the chairwoman Holly Goddard
