Membership is only £10 for the years training.
UKC Taekwondo plans to attend the 2 main annual University Taekwondo Competitions (BUSA held at Loughborough University and BSTF held at University of West England). There are also plans for friendlies with other local universities and also national WTF and BTCB Competitions throughout the year.
We are currently trying out members for a Sparring Team. The Sparring Team will consist of members of all grades/belts willing to represent the University and Club at national competitions. However, Non-sparring team club members are also eligible to compete at the discretion of the instructors.
Please bear in mind that unlike any other martial arts on campus (and with the obvious exceptions of boxing and rugby), Taekwondo is the only full contact sport at UKC. As such additional insurance is required in order to spar or compete (insurance available for £20 a year through the club).
