Sports Fed Exec- Steve Cooper

Hi, I’m Steve!
I’m a second year student studying Accounting & Finance at Kent Uni, but I spend most of my time playing sport rather than studying! My hometown is Plymouth, and whilst I’m there I spend most of my time at the beach, or playing golf.
I currently row for the university, competing in different races around the country and representing Kent at the BUSA Championships in May, which was really cool! I only started rowing when I came to Uni, and this year I want to make the new students take up new sports that they haven’t even considered before, just as I’ve done. This year, I am Novice Co-ordinator for the rowing club, and I am looking forward to the year ahead, and will hopefully be able to win some races.
Other than rowing, I enjoy playing football and golf, and also follow baseball and ice hockey, and generally take an interest in many sports.
This year, whilst I am on the Sports Federations Committee I would like to try and get as many people involved in sport, whatever it is! I hope this year is a great year for sport at Kent Uni, and wish you all the best!
