KSCV Standard
Get 50 hours of volunteering in one academic year, complete 1 Personal Development Plan and 1 review with a member of staff, and you can collect your KSCV standard! All paperwork is in the handbook
KSCV Gold
Get 100 hours of volunteering in one academic year (Standard + an additional 50 hours), complete 2 Personal Development Plans, complete 2 reviews (1 at 50, 1 at 100) with a member of staff, attend two training sessions, finish the brief diary, and give a presentation about your volunteering to the Volunteering Staff, and you can collect your KSCV Gold! You must also complete a 750 word written reflection about your volunteering.
Feeling extra confident? Once you have completed the Standard you can skip the Gold and are eligible to go onto the challenging and rewarding Platinum! Use the links on the left of this page to find out more.
There are two awards ceremonies every year, one in November and one in May, so you have lots of time to get the certificate that is right for you!
KSCV Gold Presentation Dates for the May 2008 Cermeony have been set as follows, and will take place in the Mandela Building Meeting Room unless otherwise stated.
To enable you to prepare for a successful presentation, we have some guidelines to help you. Please note that these have been updated, and presentations now require a more indepth look at your volunteering experience, so please read them carefully.
Places are limited, so booking is essential. Please e-mail s.a.walker@kent.ac.uk to book your place.
All written assessments must be either e-mailed to Sam or Becky, or handed in by the 20th May.
NO ALLOWANCES WILL BE MADE FOR YOU IF YOU COME AND SEE US AFTER THE 20TH MAY EXPECTING A LAST MINUTE REVIEW
The Award Ceremony will take place in the evening of the 28th May.
