Up and Coming Projects include:

Campus Organic Garden - Are you looking for the opportunity to work in teams or pairs, learn useful skills, benefit wildlife conservation, get fit and do all this conveniently on campus whilst having the opportunity to earn yourself some healthy food in the process?  Why not sign up to work with the wildlife conservation group and/or the Campus Organic Garden?  We are looking for students who wish to get involved in whichever way suits them.  So you can contribute physical work (lots needed!), campaigning and awareness activities, specific research studies and projects or even undertaking fundraising, business development opportunities or engage through the creative arts.  Activities will be linked to the Personal Development Planning framework and training will be provided where necessary.   If you are interested, please contact Becky on rsc7@kent.ac.uk.  An introduction meeting is taking place on Friday 29th February from 12-2 in the Mandela Building Meeting Room.  All interested students are welcome to attend.

Cancer Research Relay for Life - Taking place on September 13th and 14th September 2008 from 11am to 11am at the Canterbury High School Athletics Track (Body and Mind).  Teams of 5-15 people raise money to be able to compete in a 24 hour relay race.  One person from each team must be on the track at all times.  Volunteers are needed to form the teams, organise the days from publicity to sourcing donations to organising entertainments, help out on the days and much more.  There will be an information day on the 20th October from 12-2 and 5.30-7.30pm in the Invicta Room at Canterbury High School Athletics Track.  For more information, please contact Becky on rsc7@kent.ac.uk.

E-Mentoring - Looking for student volunteers to act as mentors to students from the Folkestone Academy as e-mentors, so you can do it from the Library, or even volunteer in bed!  Great opportunity for time-poor students.  If you are interested, please contact Sam on S.A.Walker@kent.ac.uk.  THIS PROJECT HAS TEMPORARILY BEEN PUT ON HOLD
