Don't Dump That - Don't Dump That is a website that encourages people not to throw away things others can use, or to find things online that they need for free. It is growing quickly, and needs volunteers to help in all areas, from technical support to media relations to fundraising! Don't Dump That relies on a small group of volunteers to run the local forums, maintain the website, promote the organisation and deal with all the admin, and as they are rapidly expanding, they need more help! This is virtual volunteering, something you can do when you want, where you want!
Moderators: They need moderators for all areas where there are no forums already, including those marked with an orange flag on the website map
Asst Moderators: To help Moderators in many areas where there are forums already
Technical Team: Technical Admin needs people with computer skills to spread the workload and keep the website and forums running smoothly
Member Support Team: More members means more inquiries, and we need people to help members get the most out of Don'tDumpThat
Moderator Support Team: More forums means more moderators, and even Moderators need support - we need people to help them
Media and Marketing Team: They need people with PR experience or who want to gain experience to help them represent Don'tDumpThat in the media and to produce press releases, magazine articles and promotional materials
Fundraising: They need people to help them find funding and/or sponsorship to support Don'tDumpThat in the future
Admin Team: They need people to help with various admin tasks from time to time. If you have admin or clerical skills and can help on a regular or occassional basis, they would love to hear from you
E-Mentoring - Looking for student volunteers to act as mentors to students from the Folkestone Academy as e-mentors, so you can do it from the Library, or even volunteer in bed! Great opportunity for time-poor students. If you are interested, please contact Sam on S.A.Walker@kent.ac.uk. THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY PUT ON HOLD
