Stalls will provide information about council tax, recycling, fire safety, housing, policing, health, children and young people’s services and the Residents Card.
In addition, there will be face painting, short activity sessions for children and young people, free security marking for valuable items, music from Canterbury Student Radio (CSR) and a barbecue and refreshments.
Executive member for community development, Cllr Jean Law, said: “Community spirit has been identified as an issue by people living at Hales Place, and the council is working hard to address this. With new students moving into the area to live alongside permanent residents, this is the perfect time for an event like this, and we hope lots of people will turn out to support it.”
