Using Jobshop

Kent Union Jobshop offers two simple services to employers, which enable us to process large volumes of vacancies and meet our tight turnaround times. We are also happy to discuss any other specific requirements you may have.

Basic Service

Similar in many ways to the service offered by a Job Centre, but focused entirely on the student market. Your vacancy details (excluding your name and application details) will be displayed on noticeboards within the Jobshop office, on our web site and will be sent to our membership database via automatic e-mail mailing lists. Students interested in the vacancy will obtain your details from the Jobshop staff or on-line with their Registration Number and contact you directly for you to recruit as normal. Vacancies will ordinarily be kept on our database for one month, at a far more cost-effective price than an advertisement in the local paper. Cost: from £25 + VAT for an individual and £40 + VAT for a business, depending on the number of people you wish to recruit.

Special Bul-advertisement packages

Runs along the same lines as the basic service but is designed specifically for large scale and frequent recruiters. A batch of advertisements can be purchased to use through the year. This proves more cost effective for large-scale recruiters as there is no differentiation in price for the number of people recruited. Cost: from £250 + VAT for 5 ads.

Kent Union Jobshop also offers a number of additional services to supplement the advertisements. We can hold and distribute your own application forms to reduce your postage costs or arrange for the use of University rooms for presentations or interviewing. There is also a wide range of additional advertising media should you have a large number of vacancies to fill or if you have very specific needs.

If you are interested in placing a vacancy with Jobshop or just in finding out more about the services we offer, please contact us. If you do choose to place a vacancy with Jobshop, you will find that the process could not be easier. We will take the vacancy details over the telephone or e-mail and then fax (or post) a copy of the details we recorded and a service agreement to you. Once we have received confirmation that the advertisement meets your requirements, the vacancy will be activated immediately.
