To celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8th Kent Union's FemSoc, Women's Campaign and Amnesty International Society hosted a week of events. The links will take you to facebook for more details about each event.
Friday 4th: * 1920s Cocktail Party - let's celebrate women winning the vote! Rutherford Bar @ 7pm Saturday 5th:* Million Women Rise march, London. Anyone interested is welcome to take the train down with us or meet us there. It's an all day, women only event. Meet 12pm Hyde Park (Speakers Corner End) on PARK LANE (Nearest Tube: 1 Minute from Marble Arch) set off at 1.30pm 3.30 – 5pm Rally and Celebration in Trafalgar Square (Nearest Tubes: Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and Charing Cross) Monday 7th: * Stall on campus with details about Kent Union's new Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment policy - come along to find out more and give your input into how the policy should be enacted.
