International Students

Welcome to the International Students area. Here you will find general information and ideas to help you make the most of your time as a student in the UK.

The International Committee -

The committee is responsible for representing the views of International Students at the University of Kent. If you are having an issue which is specific to International Students these are the people to speak to! The International Committee will help you whether it's a problem with your course, the University, Kent Union or a national issue such as reducing the number of immigrants into the UK.

The International Committee also organise events such as The Big International Night Out.

You can get involved with the International Committee as an elected representative (details on how to become an elected representative will appear here soon), by coming along to open meetings (the dates of which will also appear here soon), or by emailing our International Officer, Matylda Rabczenko, on mr296@kent.ac.uk

The International Buddy Scheme -

The International Buddy Scheme matches up current students with new International Students. The purpose of the scheme is to help new students settle in. By signing up to be a buddy not only will you be making someone else's move to a new country a lot less stressful, you will also gain valuable skills, make new friends and all the hours you spend volunteering for the scheme can go towards your Kent Student Certificate for Volunteering (see our volunteering pages for further details)

The Big International Night Out -

The best International Student Night anywhere in the world, fact.

The first 'Big International Night Out' will be on the 20th of September in The Attic, this is straight after the University's International Dinner. A team of enthusiastic students and staff will be waiting to lead you over to The Attic straight after dinner, so don't eat so much that you can't impress us all with your best dance moves!

Bring your friends (non International Students are of course welcome too), get down to a blend of world pop music and marvel at the wonder of our International themed club decor.
